It's almost time to say goodbye to January-2014. You OK with that? After some fairly intense winter weather in January, I think many people are hoping the weather pattern changes as we flip the calendar. However......

.....it doesn't look like a major change in the weather pattern will happen, at least not during the first week of February. Low pressure eventually tracking to our north and west will bring some mild southerly winds to Northern New England, so look for a combination of snow and rain Saturday night into Sunday.  With some rain near the coast, it appears accumulating snow will be minimal along the coast.  Inland areas, such as Auburn, Augusta, Newport, Bangor and Calais will see an inch or two, with 2-5" possible for northern counties by mid-day Sunday.

We will have a break in the action Monday and Tuesday as high pressure takes control, but another low moving our way will likely bring another round of snow to our neighborhoods Tuesday night into Wednesday. I'm ready for March, how about you??
