September can be a roller-coaster ride when it comes to our weather routine, and this week serves as a fine example. Yesterday? Clear, cool and dry-kind of October-ish. Tomorrow? Variably cloudy, scattered thundershowers, very warm and muggy (some folks in southern counties will be hitting 90 tomorrow!)
A frontal boundary will contribute to some unsettled conditions, so expect bountiful cloud cover right through Thursday and into Friday with scattered showers and thundershowers expected. Clouds will hang tough Friday and Saturday morning before cooler, drier air (and therefore a brighter sky) arrives by mid-day Saturday. Looks like a great day to check out the Maine Black Bear football team Saturday as they play their first home game of the season. How 'bout some apple picking Sunday?
