I remember back in the early 70s some relatives visited from Texas in late July. We repeatedly told them ahead of time that the weather in Maine is gorgeous, and that they would appreciate escaping the Texas heat. Unfortunately, their visit came at a time when we folks in Maine were sweltering with several days well into the 90s. Of course, back in the 70s air conditioning wasn't very common, so their trip was pretty miserable (they never came back.) If only they had visited during a time when we had what will be tomorrow's weather in place....

Tomorrow high pressure will control our weather pattern, so expect plenty of sunshine with highs around 80-pretty much a perfect summer day here in Maine! Winds will be fairly light with a light onshore flow developing, so coastal communities will be just slightly cooler compared to inland locations.

Thursday will feature a sunny start, with an approaching cold front producing some clouds later in the day. That front will stir-up clouds, showers and scattered thundershowers on Friday, with some cloud cover and scattered showers lingering into Saturday morning. The rest of the weekend looks pretty tame; perhaps I can get my Texas kin-folk to fly up for a couple days...
