What an absolutely beautiful day across Maine today, with a bright blue sky, mild temperatures along with light winds!
Big changes coming for tonight however, as an area of low pressure tracking our way will continue to bring increasing cloud cover with snow and rain arriving late tonight. Unlike our last few storms which produced just snow, this event will bring a messy mix of snow and rain for the Bangor area toward the coast, with the precipitation remaining mostly snow in northern counties. As far as accumulation goes, look for 1-3" of snow for the Bangor area to the coast before the change-over to rain, with 4-8" near Millinocket, with 6-12" across the rooftop of the Pine Tree State.
Thursday will bring clouds and snow showers, with a brighter sky returning for Friday and Saturday.
