Eliot, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Two men have been arrested and charged with breaking into two separate homes Friday night.

Police say they were called to a home on Goodwin Road just after 5PM; the owners had just come home and interrupted a burglary.

The two burglars fled on foot and police called in the State Police K-9 tracking team to help find them.

In the meantime, around 10pm another burglary was reported in the area.  Police responded and found the two suspects in a hot tub behind the residence.

The men were arrested. Michael Coughlin has been charged with 2 counts of burglary and theft. Joseph Collins has been charged as a fugitive from justice on a warrant of arrest for a probation violation out of New Hampshire, as well as 2 counts of burglary and theft.

Both men were eventually taken to the York County Jail, after one was treated for hypothermia.
