BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- Bangor police say they're trying to determine what sparked an altercation Monday evening that led to one man being stabbed.
The incident happened at an apartment building on Pine Street in Bangor. Police say they were called to the scene around 5 p.m. Monday after hearing reports of a dispute. When responders arrived they say they found one man with a stab wound to the abdomen. He was rushed to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment.
At this point police say they haven't made any arrests in the case but investigators say they have a narrow list of suspects and don't believe the attack was random.
"Like I said we're in the process of talking to everybody involved and any witnesses we've found and we're kind of placing it all together right now.," said Bangor police sargaent Paul Kenison.
Police say at this point say they're not sure of the man's condition. Authorities are also not releasing his name. The investigation into what happened is on going.
