WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) - Police in Waterville, Maine, say they have several leads as they investigate a robbery at Key Bank on one of the city's busiest streets.

The robbery was reported Thursday afternoon by Key Bank employees, who describe the robber as a white male, 45-55 years old, average height, and average to heavy build.

Police say the robber presented a note that demanded cash and made a threat, which investigators are not describing. He got away with cash, but a pink dye pack that was placed in the bag containing the stolen money exploded as intended shortly after the robber left.

Detectives are following a number of leads, and are investigating whether Thursday's robbery may be connected to any others in the central Maine area.
