SEATTLE, Washington (KING) -- Neil Bergquist's dream was to have a snowball fight in Seattle this past Saturday. Without a single flake in sight, you might say that dream didn't have a snowball's chance in -- well, Seattle.

But Bergquist and his buddies found a way. With help from KLB construction, they hauled 160,000 pounds of snow -- 34 truckloads -- from Snoqualmie Pass to a cozy spot at Seattle Center, in the shadow of the Space Needle.

Dubbed "Snow Day," the event was a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs of King County. Companies donated money in exchange for a little space to build a snow fort.

In the end, 5,834 people officially took part in the fight, which means Seattle now holds the world record.
