BRISTOL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- An autopsy is scheduled for Monday on the body found in the garage of a home in Bristol, that caught fire Sunday afternoon.
The fire started in the garage of the home at 16 Oceanside Lane, located in the Seawood Park Neighborhood, late Sunday afternoon.
Police have not released the name of the victim, but say the home belonged to a couple in their late 60s - early 70s. They say the husband suffered injuries in the fire, he was taken to the hospital. They believe the deceased may have been his wife.
Bristol Fire Chief Paul Leeman says the garage and a car inside were fully ablaze when the first trucks got there.
Investigators are expected back on scene on Monday.
