BRUNSWICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Passengers had to wait a little longer than expected to make the first morning run on the newly expanded Downeaster train service out of Brunswick.
The first daily train to Boston is scheduled to depart at 7:05 a.m. But electrical problems delayed the train from reaching the station by more than an hour on Friday morning.
The technical glitch did not dampen the enthusiam of local leaders for the new service. Brunswick Town Manager Gary Brown told NEWS CENTER'S Lee Nelson that he is hopeful the train will serve as a pipeline for tourists from the Boston area.
