NEW YORK (AP) - Police want to question a father in the two-decade-old death of a New York City child known as Baby Hope.
The New York Police Department said Tuesday it got a break in the cold case thanks to a tip that led to Baby Hope's mother. The woman told police her daughter was last alive in the care of her father.
Police say the father hasn't been located.
Baby Hope was about 3 to 5 years old. Her remains were found inside a picnic cooler discarded near the Henry Hudson Parkway in 1991.
Investigators received a tip and used DNA from her body to match her to her mother.
