LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WAVE) -- A 2-year-old girl and a coach were rescued after falling into a brick cistern in a west Louisville park on Thursday evening.

According to Doug Recktenwald, assistant chief for Louisville Fire & Rescue, crews were dispatched at 7:44 p.m. to Russell Lee Park in the 3600 block of Southern Avenue after MetroSafe received a report about an adult and a child trapped below the surface.
