NEW ORLEANS (WDSU) - New Orleans police are searching for multiple gunmen after a shooting that left one 11-year-old girl dead and two other people injured early Monday morning.
A New Orleans Police representative said a family was inside of a home when suspects approached and began firing into the building.
11-year-old Arabian Gayles died after being struck in the head.
Her cousin, 11-year-old Paulreiona Cary, was shot in the right hand and elbow, and a man was shot in the back. Police said those injuries are not life-threatening.
