(NEWS CENTER) - Next month, voters in Sagadahoc County and the town of Dresden will elect a new state Senator.

Some in Augusta are saying the race to replace Senator Seth Goodall will be a preview of the 2014 election.

We asked our political analysts Ethan Strimling and Former Minority Leader in the House, Joe Bruno for their thoughts on the matter.

We also asked them to weigh in on the Gubernatorial race campaign finance reports:

Eliot Cutler: $432,091 raised; $358,000 cash on hand

Mike Michaud: $313,530 raised; $306,000 cash on hand

Paul LePage: $339,021 raised; $240,000 cash on hand

For the reporting period, LePage raised $123,000 against Michaud's $306K and Cutler's $432K.
