PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- This week is known as "Teen Driver Safety" Week, and in Maine, this week has been a particularly deadly one for teenagers.
Two teens have died in two separate crashes in Oxford County. 18-year-old Jordan Cole died Tuesday night when he crashed his Jeep on Greenwood Road. On Saturday, 16-year-old Danielle Ranger crashed her car into a tree in the town of Peru.
Car crashes are the leading cause of death for teens 16-19, but to help try to prevent these deadly accidents from happening, AAA has created a wireless device called "AAA Onboard". Pat Moody and Cletus Nunes from AAA were on the Morning Report to explain how this device works.
Right now, Onboard is only available for AAA policy holders.
