PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Would you ever choose to take in a kid that has experience with the Department of Corrections?
Or perhaps they have some mental health issues? It's a big commitment, but the rewards are even larger - at least that's what Taryn Walker believes. Three years ago she started researching various programs that would allow her to help change a kid's life for the better. With years of experience in helping kids in group settings, she thinks now is the time to focus on one.
We're there with her as she takes the first steps of becoming a foster parent.
