LIMINGTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Rick Wood has built more than twenty-two hundred feet of rock wall around his Limington home. He was adding to them when he flipped over a 600 pound stone and discovered that it was shaped like his native state of Maine.

"I couldn't believe it," said the amateur stone mason who uses the rock to complement his 1793 rural farm house.

Wood has spent hours looking at the stone, which bears no chisel or saw marks. "There's the Allagash," he says while gesturing to a ridge in the rock. " This raised area here is Mt. Katahdin."

The stone is mostly granite and always draws the attention to visitors who drop by.
