Miller out for the year, Ellsbury to sit out Monday

SEATTLE (NEWS CENTER) - The Boston Red Sox will be without a couple player for Monday's series opener against the Mariners with one of them out for the rest of the year. 

Reliever Andrew Miller will need surgery to repair ligament damage in his left foot after suffering the injury in an appearance against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday. 

Centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury is listed day-to-day with a sore left wrist.
