STETSON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- State Police are investigating the death of a toddler in the town of Stetson.
Police say the death was reported early Monday morning at a home on Mt. Pleasant Road after the body of 2 1/2-year-old Loh Grenda was found in her mother's car.
Police have identified the mother as 24-year-old Leanna Norris, who they say now lives in Auburn. State Police say she has been hospitalized at an undisclosed facility.
An autopsy on the little girl's body was conducted by the State Medical Examiner's Office Monday and the results are pending additional testing.
Detectives have been conducting interviews with family, friends and relatives as they investigate the circumstances of the death. Police were called to the home about 3 a.m.
