Saco police arrest Buxton man on multiple charges after accident

SACO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Saco police say they've arrested a Buxton man for OUI and a number of other charges after he struck a CMP pole late Wednesday night.

Police say they responded to a two vehicle accident at 10 Mast Hill Road on Wednesday night and found one of the cars on fire. They say there was also a damaged pole and wires in the road.

Saco police say that 23-year-old Lincoln T. Kimball's 2006 black Mercedes caught fire after receiving considerable damage. Kimball had injuires to his face and was taken to Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford. Police say that Kimball has an active arrest warrant from the York County Sheriff's Office dating back to July. They say he was wanted for for unauthorized use of property, criminal speeding, operating after suspension and failing to report accident. Saco police say he was able to make bail on those charges. He is expect in court in January.

The other vehicle was a white 2002 Lincoln driven by Matthew Pelletier of Saco.

Police are still investigating the accident and say other charges may be filed.
