BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- Officials at Husson University have named a familiar face to lead the Eagles football team next year.
The university named Gabby Price as their new head football coach for next season. This won't be his first time at the helm of the Eagles. Price first coached Husson from 2004 to 2008 when the school's football program was in its beginning.
In that time Price led the team to a record of 7-3 in 2008, which included an Eastern College Athletic Conference Bowl Game. Price will be taking over for outgoing coach Sean Murphy who will be coaching the lacrosse team next year.
The newly named coach says he's just looking forward to getting back to the gridiron.
"Certainly seem very excited about it," Price said, "Think it's going to be a great thing and hopefully it's going to be a great thing. Once again we're just excited to be back here...it's a great school. They've done a great job and just want to be part of it."
The Eagles will be coming of a tough season. This past year they went 2-8 under Sean Murphy, which included a 1-6 record in conference play.
