AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) -- A district prosecutor and a family court magistrate are Gov. Paul LePage's choices for appointments to Maine's District Court bench.
The governor Tuesday announced the nominations of Nancy Carlson of Dixfield and Evert Fowle of Vassalboro.
Carlson has been a family court magistrate since 1998 and before that was director of the state Bureau of Child and Family Services. Fowle is serving his third term as district attorney for Kennebec and Somerset counties.
LePage also nominated E. Paul Eggert for a third term as District Court judge and Joseph Field as an active retired judge of the District Court.
All of the nominations are subject to legislative confirmation reviews.
