Yoga and spinning seems like an unlikely combination, but the folks over Reve Cycling Studio are proving it's a match made in heaven. Think about it, you get the benefits of a high intensity cardio workout and your light at the end of the tunnel is a great yoga stretch. Plus, you really need that deep stretch after a spin class to counteract all the work you just did. Spinning tightens the hips and can stress the shoulders. Reve owner Stephanie Cabot tells us that the yoga experience at the end is to help even everything out.
"It's not meant to keep challenging you it's more supposed to be a deep deep stretch, because I tell you getting your leg up into down dog is challenging once you get off the bike."
Many of the people in the class told us the spin/yoga fusion is an addiction. Plus, many were surprised that a workout that is low impact could have the power to transform their bodies so much.
