The habits we learn at an early age are usually the habits that stick. So why not teach your children at a young age that exercise can be fun? On this Fit at Five we head to a fitness studio that is dedicated to working with these tiny tikes.
The studio is called Tumble Tikes Fitness Center. A place where kids as young as 6 months old up to 13 years old can learn that fun and fitness do go together. Owner Kim DeMado teaches how to tumble the correct way. A perfect introduction to gymnastics, but the benefits of classes like this go far beyond that. Coach Kim says that a class like this helps a child's self esteem, and focuses on their agility.
Tumble Tikes will be offering Summer camps and classes June through August. Along with a sports camp for kids ages 11-18 that will work on strength and conditioning. We have provided a link for more information on Tumble Tikes and their special events.
