Jack Perkins was named "the most literate network correspondent" by the Associated Press. For 25 years, Perkins served as correspondent, commentator and anchorman at NBC News. He has also hosted "Biography" on A&E. Perkins was nominated for an Emmy Award for his coverage of the 1972 Olympics.
Jack Perkins and his wife, Mary Jo, moved to a cabin on an uninhabited island off the coast of Maine in 1984. Perkins has written about their experience in his new book, "Finding Moosewood Finding God."
