PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle hosted more than ten thousand people over the weekend as the World Cup Biathlon tour came to North America.
The U. S. team was led by Sara Studebaker who finished fourteenth in the 7.5 Kilometer Sprint. It was the highest World Cup finish by an American woman biathlete in ten years.
Lowell Bailey had a sixteenth place finish in the 20K Pursuit. That race is handicapped based on earlier performance. Bailey had one of the best races of the day and moved up ten places.
