  • (NEWS CENTER) -- If you find yourself turning the heat down to save money there are still ways to keep warm. The Maine Centers For Disease Control website offers tips, including dressing in layers and keeping infants in a warm room that is between 61 and 68 degrees. The State also suggests you cut down on caffeine, alcohol and nicotine because they all cause heat loss. You can find links to those pages on the right side of this page. Carbon Monoxide is also a risk as people find alternative heat sources.
